Looks good but doesn't power the BD drive well enough.

I bought this so I can use my PC's Blu-ray reader outside of the case as there was no 5.25" space in my new case. I only use it to copy the Blu-ray discs I buy, so I don't use it *often*, 1-4 times a month. This drive worked great in my PC, but now I have 2 perfect/blank discs that are having trouble reading. The drive sometimes shuts down when trying to spin up to maximum speed because it doesn't have enough power. I'm using a DC power adapter to plug it into a USB 3.1 port. Speed, but it also

It didn't work for me!

I bought this to connect a WD10EARX external hard drive to an IMAC. It didn't work for me, but it might work for others. Be sure to check the specifications of this cable and your device before purchasing. This was bought to repair my external hard drive as the USB port on the motherboard was broken. My disk doesn't show up in my search queue, but it shows up in Disk Utility, but it's still not recognized (it's still gray, can't load). I'm running a few additional patches to see if I can…

Works great and well done

I've used it quite a bit over the past few weeks and it works great. Cables, case and connectors are of good quality and fit well, the power delivery is top notch. The blue indicator light could have been a little bigger or more prominent but other than that it's a great device that compares to other high quality brands I've used. If you're having trouble connecting and disconnecting, it's mostly a quirk of Windows, assuming your socket is in good shape. So look there first, and if you're using

Works perfectly, no problems

An easy way to turn a spare hard drive or solid state drive into a USB flash drive. Ideal for backup, cloning and multimedia. You don't need an expensive case. And the hard drive runs cooler and lasts longer without a case. I connected an old WD 5400rpm 1TB drive to my mini pc that I use on my TV and it works great. I programmed the drive to slow down when not in use so it would last for decades. On USB3 I get about 65 MB/s, which is normal for a 5400 RPM drive. Tried with an SSD and it was…

  • Everything is fine!

However, when it works, it works well. . .

There are a few problems and it's hard to tell if they're related to the product, my hard drive, or my computer. There are no instructions at all for the adapter, so you'll have to go back to Revain's list. There's no product name on the box at all, so you'll have to find the manufacturer and then find their tech support website. On MY computer, USB 3.0 provided an unstable connection, so I couldn't reliably locate the files on the drive that I was trying to recover. Connecting to the USB 2…

Must have if you're playing around with your computer. Get one now!

I had to wipe the old hard drive from a bootable Windows XP to a blank drive for a Linux system I am building from two old systems and clone my wife's Windows 7 boot drive to her laptop ( because the hard drive fails) so that I can replace it with a new hard drive with the Windows 7 operating system and data transferred to it. Since these two situations occur at the same time, I've been looking for solutions to both problems and found this little dot in Revain. For the money this seemed like a…
