Skein too small: yarn

Pay attention to the size ordered. I didn't know it was a very small thread. I looked at the picture and thought it was a regular size like all the others I've ordered from Revain. Very disappointed because I had to turn around and order another skein to finish the product. The yarn itself is the best I've ever worked with. Very soft and pleasant to work with.

Pros
  • Weight: 4 - med worsted, 100% cotton
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Good cotton yarn, suitable for knitting and crocheting

I am new to crocheting. This yarn was very easy to work with and didn't "unravel" like other brands of cotton yarn she tried. The color in the picture looks a bit like a bright orange, but in reality it's not that bright, which I liked. One ball was enough for a large rag. I would use this brand again. However, it was a bit expensive.

Pros
  • Gauge: 13 sc and 14 crochet rows 5 mm (US H/8)
Cons
  • Not as thick as other yarns

Not worth the money.

I ordered 5 of these in different colors for my daughter for a total of just over $27. The quality seems good but the quantity was far from enough for the price. I will never buy again as I wanted to return but have to pay a restocking and shipping fee. Bad company not to do business with. Save money and buy more elsewhere and get more for your money.

Pros
  • Caliber: 4 - med 100% cotton worsted
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Slightly Disappointed - Knitting & Crocheting

Please note this is a small skein - I didn't read the reviews before purchasing and was surprised when it arrived. Turquoise is a beautiful color and might work for certain projects, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how to use it based on size and texture. *No* stretch - it's similar in texture to Sugar n Cream but *much stiffer* (almost like raffia) and the thread tends to unravel easily. I was excited to find cheap yarn but I don't think it's worth the price. Update: I used…

Pros
  • Care: Machine wash and dry
Cons
  • Requires Outlet
