I liked the easy direction and way of displaying steps while reading. After each section there is a simple overview of each team and the training process. Great for a new puppy owner preparing to train a young puppy. This book is very specific to the temperament and mannerisms of the breed.

I liked the quick, understandable and precise advice from Ms. Kaiser. Having a training book specifically for my dog breed was very helpful. I liked the basic commands with clear step-by-step instructions plus additional tips and secrets from the experts. The brief logic of the training methods was helpful in understanding why the methods should be performed the way they were explained.

This is our 1st Berner, but I didn't learn anything from this book and the teaching methods. We have a 10 week old puppy and she will not walk on a leash, plant buns and not exercise. The book only covers puppies that are pulling or trying to lead. I have trained 3 Goldens over the years, they were all well behaved excellent dogs but I have never used any of the rigorous methods detailed in this book other than teaching them to walk on your side.
