Works great for soldering and soldering equipment

Works as it should, I've been welding, soldering and soldering for over 50 years. Works well, it has flux on it which makes application much easier!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Great price

Fast shipping when welding and soldering

You can get this at Home Depot for the same price. Husband bought it for a project, he did what he had to do. Delivered on time, I will probably order more.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled

Bernzomatic Bronze Flux Coated Solder Rods

Blowtorch takes some time and with minimal use It takes about a step above the blowtorch and then some time. I soldered a 1 1/4" diameter stainless steel pipe to a stainless steel grate. It took a while and wasn't very pretty, but it held up.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Minor Issues

Steel Brazing Sweetness

I used these bars along with a Bernzomatic gas mix to fill a pretty decent crack in the stabilizer bar mount on my Subaru frame. It flowed really well and has held up on rough roads for about 4 or 5 months now so I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works great for welding and brazing

Im impressed! I don't have a welder and had to glue some stamped steel parts together. I used these wands with a map light. Clean both sides. Heat them red hot and the rod melts and begins to flow. The joint is incredibly strong. These rods are great for metal repair.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Hard to say

Do not worry. Brazed and Fluxed

Parts need to be heated from cherry red to full orange just for the rods to start to melt and even then they work slowly . Yes, technically the product works fine, but I wasn't planning on spending all day hunched over a hot part with the flashlight on. It's exhausting to be sure if you ask me. Hire a professional.

Pros
  • Bronze flux coated brazing/welding rods are ideal for everyday repairs on steels, cast iron
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

This material is suitable for welding steel to galvanized metal

This was my first soldering. I used card gas and watched a few youtube videos before trying it. Both metals were red hot, then bronze was added. It doesn't flow like soldering, it's more like adding a drop, melting into steel, adding another drop, melting again. A small process, but I ended up gluing two pieces of metal together.

Pros
  • Operating Temperature: 1620 degrees Fahrenheit
Cons
  • Damaged

It works when your patient.

I've used them on several projects with excellent results. I fixed the blade with a 2" crack and the weld is holding up. I've also welded copper to steel with positive results. A few notes: Clean the surfaces with alcohol or acetone. If there is rust, you need to remove it from where you plan to weld. I have used acetylene piping and have not tried MAPP gas. In this case you will need to heat the surface to red hot, which will take some time so be patient. When you place the bar on the surface…

Pros
  • Tensile Strength: 60,000 psi
Cons
  • not reliable
