I'm always a bit nervous about my boat's battery condition. I set up an isolated backup and mounted one on top of the battery compartment so I could test it right before the trip. The only downside is that I would prefer the percentage reading to the columns, but still gets the job done.

How the hell are we supposed to use this with 12 inch cables? Now I need to size the wires and extend the wires so they can reach my battery. For a few cents more you could at least extend the wire a few feet, that's a joke, if I didn't need the gauge tomorrow it would be sent back.

I bought this to report when my trolling motor batteries are low. The first time it showed I had 80% battery charge left. When I got home my charger said I had 70% left. , not bad! The next time I ran about 1 hour it showed I was under 50%, I ran another 3 hours and when I got home I still had 30% left. Very conflicting evidence.

These things are so small it's ridiculous. Like they were made for a little toy truck or something. The two connection wires have normal thread size. You just can't do anything with them. And finally, they are dead wrong. I was going to use them for my trolling motor batteries but they are too far off the percentage remaining. I would not recommend these at all.

Very disappointed with this gauge. I bought this to check the battery life of my trolling motor. My trolling motor is on the nose and my chop is on the back. I connected this meter to the main leads coming from the battery and it reads 10% but if you connect it directly to the battery it reads 50%. But when I connected my battery to the charger, it shows 90%. So what I'm saying is that I can't trust that if it's giving other readings.

This gauge works great! This involves guessing how much charge is left in my battery. I use it with a trolling motor and was surprised to see how much charge the battery still had after two hours of use. I was always careful in the boat after several hours of trolling. I figured I'd better quit for fear my battery would die and I wouldn't want to row anymore. Now with this meter I connect it to the battery and check it regularly. It gave me more time to fish! Definitely recommend it.
