Scrap prices are always going up and down. But bare copper wire is always worth more than insulated wire. In our area the price for bare copper wire is usually 3x and more than insulated. The return on investment is quick if you scrap wire. In my case one trip paid for itself and then some. The unit is easy to set up and operate. I have mine bolted to a work board that I set on top of a trash can. I strip the wire, drop it in the can, throw insulation in a nearby trash can. Quick and efficient.

This 1 blade wire stripper is faster than I expected. I feed a 3 foot 12awg wire at a time and I can barely keep up. Whip the insulation in box throw the brite in the barrel feed another 3'wire all day continuously if you want. I experimented added a few bends in 3foot long 12awg ,left 4" strait to feed the roller ,it took it but stay back it's gonna whip and spin! The wire was mostly stripped but much smoother. This is a good machine but will frustrate you when learning to use it!I've learned that the larger wire such as #4 and up is much easier to strip than any smaller guages.Be patient and diligent.

Good value for the price. It takes some practice and patience to get it to work smoothly. Your wire needs to be fairly straight. If it is curly or kinked, this machine feeds faster than you can compensate and the wire will jump out of the rollers. There are only three size guides supplied with the tool. I have been in the electrical field for 27 years. This is the best stripping machine i have ever used . Without paying a fortune. I know it says un damaged wire. I put wire thru it with outer coating half peeled off. Not a problem. Once you get size dialed in and set the nuts. So it doesnt move on you. You can go forever. I have had it about a month or two. It has paid for its self already. Thanks

What a great little machine. I wish I would have had this years ago. What used to take days can now be done in a few hours. My only complaint/suggestion is when stripping shorter pieces of wire, is I wish they had a guide or tube on the back side to guide it past the motor housing as I have had it catch on the housing a few times but its not really a big deal nor will it harm the product. Well worth spending the extra money on this rather than the hand crank one. Sometimes it can be a little tricky to get the blade adjusted but once it's set it works very well.
