Fatal Flaw fits generators and portable power supplies

Handy size and format. However (and this is important) both of the solder wires on the battery terminals came loose in the first week of very light use. One when the wind knocked the panel over and the other just attached it to the battery. This is a critical vulnerability that needs to be fixed for the panel to be reliable.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • No instructions

Great for small devices

I like that it's light and easy to set up. In addition, there are 3 charging ports. I was able to charge 2 mobile phones and portable speakers at the same time. Didn't have much success with my laptop. After about 3 hours it was only 23% charged. So I'd say it's really made for smaller devices. Also note that it has no self-charging/energy storage. So it's better to have some kind of rechargeable battery/generator to hook up to if you want to hold the charge. Overall it worked and was great for

Fast Charge Pixel 4 XL

Tested on a sunny day and connected my Pixel 4 XL directly to it. I was getting about 1% charge per minute, on par with the wall charger. The panel folds into a very handy package that weighs about 2 pounds and easily fits in a pocket. I constructed a rigid frame out of 1/2" 40 grade PVC and used velcro cable ties to attach it with the included mounting loops so it can be hung from a backpack or positioned as needed to provide access to the sun. The best One way to do this is to charge a large…

Charges phones but not laptops

I wasn't too surprised when in bright sunlight this product failed to charge or start my Toshiba laptop as advertised. This is an unreliable facility for such a company. Toshiba requires 19.5V at 2.31A (45W). The maximum DC output power for this panel is 19V 3A (57W), not 63W. It is ideal for small items such as a phone or battery. However, I recommend using a portable solar generator as an intermediary if you seriously need a laptop in the event of a power outage. The 200Wh MAXOAK Generator…

Half rated power. Emits strong high-frequency noise.

Before purchasing, I found online reviews warning that Chinese solar panels only perform at half their rated output. So I bought one that was at least twice what I actually needed. So yes, it can put out up to 20W+ in the middle of a bright, sunny day if you point it directly at the sun. i can accept it However, this is not the biggest disadvantage. I don't care about the USB outputs as I only use the 19V output for a separate RF silent solar charge controller. The built-in solar controller is…

Gave me about 22w of power in full sun with multiple solar controllers

Thought it would be a good choice for highly mobile charging of my batteries and solar arrays. I have a Bioenno battery with a Buddipole Power Mini, a Bluetti 240, a few smaller devices from other manufacturers and an Omnicharge 20+. All devices have mpp solar controllers. I typically use 200w Bluti panels to charge many of these devices, but they're not the best for transporting to remote areas. I wanted to love this thing. It comes with multiple connectors to connect the 5.5 x 2.1 male to a…

100W full charge for my power station

We had bright sunshine yesterday. I mean it's only March but not a lot of clouds and it was charging at about 100wh constantly so my 750wh power plant was increasing the state of charge by over 10% per hour which was really amazing. I used the standard DC cable that came with it to charge, so no adapters or other cables were needed. So for me the perfect travel companion to charge all my gear. I also tested the 60W PD and it showed full compatibility. I have never had such a small 100W solar…

LOVE this solar panel!

Used this to test the solar charge controller and battery for a week before taking it camping for a week. I love this panel. Definitely too heavy for me to ever want to carry a backpack but perfect for car camping. Enough current to charge a 15Ah 3s7p battery in one day, delivers more current than expected on cloudy days (can't remember how much, but it was more than I expected. The 19V output fell off and USB QC and normal USB fell out and only went 19V power and USB C. As far as I could tell…
