They look great (if that's important to you) and work as intended. I like the material that makes contact with the wheel as it doesn't seem to scratch and feels durable.

A bike mount is perfect, but do yourself a favor and grab the screws that come with it and throw them straight in the trash, then buy quality screws to hang this thing up.

I've used a lot of standard curved bike hangers. I bought these because my mountain bike tires didn't fit the stock tires. This straight is much easier to put on and take off. I can switch all my hangers to this type.

I love these. I attached a 2x12 piece to cleats in my garage and then attached 3 of them to a board to hold 3 bikes. I painted the board to match the garage wall and now the outboard wheels look clean. Much better than escaping hooks. I hang 2 regular adult bikes and 1 men's XL bike.

I would have no hesitation in hanging a heavy bike on it if it was mounted directly onto a cleat or skid plate. It's RELIABLE. I didn't use the included drywall anchors because I just don't trust drywall for holding a heavy bike. Your tires are going to destroy your wall anyway, so you could mount them to a piece of 2x2 plywood from the hardware store and screw the plywood onto the studs. Unfortunately I have to say that the quality has gone down a bit since my first purchase. While the hook itself is still good, the gear supplied is now of very poor quality.
