Terrible accuracy in Automotive Diagnostics

As my tests showed, this compression tester is off by a mile. It's impossible to get an accurate reading with this tool. Save your money and invest in a better product.

The right motorcycle compression gauge

Motorbike mechanics, listen up, this compression gauge has an important detail that makes it indispensable. In order for the motorcycle gauge to read correctly, the Schrader valve must be located at the end of the hose fitting. Inexpensive compression gauges do not have a valve here, and on motorcycles this results in low readings. This also allows it to be removed quickly and easily in order to use the hose and adapter for leak testing after a compression test.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Single repair perfect fits BMW 2018 RNINET

Does pretty much what it says on the tin and does it better than a manual compression gauge. No leaks, easy to install and easy to understand. Different sized threaded lugs for different sized plugs make the connection airtight, presumably for accurate measurements. I read compression levels maybe 3 times a year. If so... this set is well made, lots of brass and solid threaded parts... I won't be needing any other tools any time soon. If you're a guy like me who doesn't read compression levelsโ€ฆ
