So cheap and such a massive upgrade

Replaced all factory shocks with Bilsteins a few thousand miles ago. I have never found my steering to be bad or bumpy in any way (only 68k miles on my f250), always changed tires on time and had a good camber. I went ahead and took this and it made everything a lot smoother, soaking up the bumps and dips in the road and I didn't "feel" them on the wheel anymore. Installation is very easy, if you are just installing this you will need 3 sockets, a ratchet and a hammer or brass mallet. 10…

  • Great price
Cons
  • Modern

Shock absorbers arrived 2 days early. I picked them up from a UPS pickup point in my driveway, drove home, and twenty-five minutes later they were installed. It took me five minutes to find my 15mm and 18mm heads! I can't say they are any better than the OEM Rancho shocks that came with the truck (2016 F250 4WD) but I can say they got my truck in near new driving condition and maybe even better are better. I have previously fitted the same 5100 series Bilstein front shocks with a 5100 series…

Be careful when installing

What seemed like a simple installation turned out to be quite complicated. I'm probably driving long term, all set up and less than 300 miles since install. Firstly, removing the old anti-roll bar can be quite painful as the old one is very badly rusted. When installing a new stabilizer bar (using a torque wrench to a specified torque), I tightened the end of the rod and stripped the threads. The end of the ball joint is tapered, and it would retract the cone if the threads broke. The nut won't

Shit in Power Steering

I subscribe to the Ford blog, do extensive research before buying, make sure Revain only goes up to f350 when you get in the car. I have a 2020 Ford F450, but some things are the same body-wise and not mechanically, so I came across a conversation on the Ford blog about someone looking to upgrade their steering damper, after reading it said he has this one Used steering stabilizer on his truck and it worked. I got the part number from his conversation which is the same steering damper above and
