The portable work bench has a durable steel frame and wooden vise jaws. Sturdy construction of the garage work bench holds up to 350 lbs. Compact, lightweight design folds flat for easy storage. Adjustable swivel pegs easily clamp irregular shapes. Jaws resist warping and can be angled to accommodate uniquely-shaped materials. Parallel Clamping: 4-5/8". Slip-resistant feet help prevent sliding.

Great item with terrible assembly instructions. Just awful. For real.

When I was little, my father had one. It kinda worked... But it never worked right, the knobs were always tightened and the surface was never really flat because of the protruding hex screws. I figured it was just because my dad was very, very bad at packing. He was, that's true. But now that I've assembled two of these myself, I can say that I've never come across such pointless instructions with worse circuitry, even in 40 years of assembling IKEA furniture and other damn things with no…

Good form and function for $29.

Advantages: - cheap and fast delivery - quick assembly (23 minutes for me) - functional and works as advertised. .- Decent build quality and materials for the price Cons : - All the whiners writing speeches about how "difficult" to assemble and Chinese workmanship and lack of instructions. It's a BANK! It comes with 8 nuts and bolts and four bolts with plastic spacers, worm gears and feet - done. These scathing reviews make me reflect on our American intelligence and ability to perform simple…

Heard mods from other reviewers to make it better and wow

Heard mods from other reviewers to make it better and wow it does exactly what I wanted. Modification 1: Add 8 M6 lock washers to the cross sections on both legs. This will greatly increase stability. Modification 2: Discard the pins holding the reel handles and replace them with two 8-32 x 1-1/4 inch machine screws and 8-32 nylon insert locknuts. This makes the handles easy to attach and just as easy to remove. Total cost of Home Depot mods: $2. I bought two, made both of these changes and…

Prepare for disappointment Assembly

I bought some door hinges and decided on an inexpensive workbench to paint the doors. Hence the reason for buying it. I'm pretty good at assembling things but this workbench was very difficult to put together and came with terrible instructions. So now I will share my experience. As for the hardware, I got seven long hex screws and the wrong 8th pan head screw. As a result, I wasn't able to complete the installation because the screw wasn't long enough to reach and screw into the metal…

5 stars IF you know of their build video

There is a video from Black and Decker showing how to install the bank link below: EDIT: Revain wouldn't let me post a link but if you search "Black and Decker Workmate 125 Assembly" on Youtube you will find it. As many other people have pointed out, the installation instructions are terrible, which is the main downside of this product. But if you watch the video (and pause at key moments to watch your partner at various stages of construction), you shouldn't have any problems. A few other…

Works well, great value

Costing less than most goats, this workbench is far more versatile and functional than anything else within a mile of its price. It's a workbench, vise, trestle, and de facto router table, spindle sander table, or other type of table, depending on which power tool you're holding upside down in the middle! In addition, it is lightweight and portable, yet made (almost entirely) of high-quality materials. There are a few things about him that I could fault. The handles feel flimsy, the lid begins…

Pretty decent lightweight workbench

Basically what I needed and expected. The Workmate 125 is a lightweight, portable workbench made in China. This is NOT for big, heavy work and the product description says so. I build small stringed instruments and plan to use this workbench on guitar, ukulele and similar necks. This is the right choice for that. Pros: All necessary parts and accessories are included Light weight Easy to fold, albeit with some tugging Material is decent if not top quality (e.g. thin metal) Vise hole area is…
