A big improvement over using a two wire connection by adding two separate wires to the amplifier port. Much better timing and picture. Blocking the banana plugs solved my problem with detaching one of the outputs on my old Adcom power amp.

I've been reading about Blue Jeans cables for a number of years, recently bought B&W 606 speakers and decided new cables would be included. The cables are well made and the locking banana plugs add an extra quality feel. I don't want to compensate for a big difference in sound between the Blue Jeans and my previous cables, but the overall sound seems to be more convincing compared to my previous cables. After all, the value cannot be beat.

After purchasing and using this cable for several months I decided to replace the speakers. After I unscrewed the banana plug to release the terminal, the wire fell right out of the plug. I've compared the wire and connector and seen no sign of welding, soldering or even crimping to secure the wire in place. The rest of the forks seem fine, but that's a big mistake. Edit: After a few months of use I made the mistake of pulling a speaker out a little too far and it pulled on the cord. Well, with any other banana cable, two things can happen: 1) the connector will be harmlessly ripped out, or 2) the banana connector could bend in one direction quite easily. In this case, however, it initially appeared as if the entire connector was bent, but which on closer inspection (when reconnected) completely destroyed the outer conductors, which expanded and created a…
