Customer service is very poor - don't expect help with warranty issues

The microphone works great, I found that the supplied USB cable was defective. With the included cable, the output had a lot of scratches and buzz. I have reported this to Blue Support with a very detailed report of the troubleshooting steps I took (different USB port, different computer, different cable, etc.), answered about a dozen questions on their support questionnaire, and even recorded one Sample sound attached a bad cable. In response, I received a standard letter clarifying thatโ€ฆ

The ICE version is suitable for gaming. In either case, you will need to purchase an ON/OFF switch.

Well looking back I think I should have bought the Snowball ICE mic. That's why. The ICE version is $20 cheaper. The only things it lacks is a conference call mode and a -10dB mode for recording instruments. None of these things are required for my use, which is primarily VoIP communications for gaming. The $20 you save can be spent on a microphone. Pole ($13-15), USB AB adapter ($3-5), and USB ON/OFF switch with extension cord ($13.90). /OFF switch not even present on the $70 non-ICE versionโ€ฆ

The perfect microphone for beginners! Read on for setup tips!

I bought this mic after many hours of searching for the best mic for me. I wanted to start making videos for YouTube but didn't want to spend too much money on a microphone if it didn't work out. This product is perfect for beginners as it offers you good sound quality. If you plan to update it in the future, it's not a huge loss. It comes with a stand and is ready to use. Just plug it into your computer's USB port and start recording. As for my setup, I currently have it on a boom (NEEWER micโ€ฆ

Buy for life no regrets

I bought this in June 2015 and I still use it every day. For the sake of simplicity I will divide this review into 4 parts. Appearance, construction, physical quality and sound quality. Appearance: I only bought the white version because it was the cheapest option at the time. $65, same price now. The ball itself is thick plastic with a rough finish. The finish means it basically doesn't reflect the light like a mirror, so it doesn't get very shiny. The grille covering the internals is metalโ€ฆ
