07/31/18 I just spoke to the manufacturer about my license plate front cover cracking in the car wash, although it was washed a couple of times before it broke. The bottom 2 inches of this carbon fiber (CF) front cover came off immediately. They advertise that this plate is for the car wash. After all, it's from CF. It's safe if you "hand wash" it.
