I would like to give five stars. Glass is an excellent insulator. Ice doesn't melt for long and drinks stay cool, allowing ice cubes to stay in the glass long after drinking. They feel good and look good. However, out of the four glasses I bought a week ago, two lost the white silicone seal that gently washes dishes by hand. Now water enters the hollow part of the glass. They have become ugly due to condensation on the inner walls and can no longer be used.

I have used these glasses for many years and love them. They are fragile and some of them broke but I can't fault the product for that. Buyers need to know they need to be careful. The problem I have is that the glass gets cloudy over time. The manufacturer says that borosilicate glass will never become cloudy. But they do not defend their own claims. These little double walled glasses are beautiful and seem durable and better than many others in design. They work great with both hot and cold drinks, but I'm still concerned about the thin glass in double wall jars and how durable they will be over the long term. May 2020 update Contrary to my original review, I now think these goggles are not effective at retaining heat. I don't see much difference between hot coffee in these glasses and in an ordinary china mug. They cool down almost equally quickly. You look fantastic. And that is thanks to Bodem. They often use the term "insulated" but don't claim that these glasses retain heat, perhaps because they don't. These glasses clearly show the layers of espresso, crema and frothed milk in my coffee drinks.

I bought these for my coffee maker and was very happy to receive them. Really nice design and convenience for hot and cold drinks is what I was looking for. When I arrived I picked it up and realized how strange it was to even hold it in my hands. Love these coffee mugs while they last. I bought four of these mugs and broke two within the first three weeks. I hand wash them. They can get a bit slippery. In some cases, the glass slipped, hit the sink and shattered. A small drop, maybe a foot from my hands to the bottom of the sink. Now I slowly wash them one at a time over an empty sink, keeping my hands low to reduce the risk of falling if I slip. It's been almost two months since I last broke one. I really, really love her. About halfway through, the martini glass was cold, bordering on cool. The drink in Bodum was still ice cold. For cheaper double walled glasses check independent websites as well as Revain. But Bodums has a small silicone valve which I think justifies the high price. With cheaper glasses that only have one hole, detergent will eventually collect between the walls. And those that don't have holes at all can break in the microwave. So money is not a problem, go to the Bodums. I use 300ml if I add 12g of coffee to 200ml of water. For large jars of Bodum I use 18g and 300ml of water. I gave that 5 stars…

First of all these glasses look beautiful. The overall craftsmanship is very good considering they are hand blown. But that's where it stops. Here are some of the problems: 1) It doesn't retain heat because it has too wide a neck and loses all heat from there. In fact, it's worse than my ceramic mugs. 2) They are very thin.
