I got this product for a trip to Iceland and it was great for charging my iPhone from the USB port. However, US plugs are more difficult as they are blocked by a plastic element. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but it's very annoying when the plastic part gets stuck and I have to use force to insert the connector, which can damage the connector. Update. Customer service immediately sent me a replacement with a lifetime warranty even though Revain's return date was a day late. Thus, excellent customer service reduces the risk to a very low level and increases the rating of this product. Worked great on a recent trip to New Zealand! It was really nice to have multiple USB slots to charge all our devices at the same time and plug my laptop into an adapter! The only issue we had was that the adapter is a bit bulky and often hit the power button in NZ outlets (they all had a switch next to the outlet that turned off the power) - but I think the adapter is pretty standard sized for an adapter, so I don't know if it can be avoided with another product.
