Waste of Money and Time!

This product is useless for automotive welding. My analysis of this product showed that it did not work as advertised. It was difficult to use, and even after several attempts, it failed to achieve the desired results. The only positive aspect was that it was affordable. The cons far outweigh the single pro, making it a terrible investment for anyone in the automotive welding industry.

Pros
  • Effective for glazing and soldering
Cons
  • Potential harm to health if proper safety measures are not taken

I'm sold! for welding and soldering

I read about this product on the Craftsmen Facebook group. Someone said it was the best so I decided to give it a try. WOW! I can't believe how much my soldering results have improved.

Pros
  • Size: 4 oz.
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Great Blacksmithing Flux

When you're soldering silver, brass or copper you need a good flux and a borax cone is a classic flux. I have found this to be a good quality flux that helps the solder flow smoothly. This only applies to the cone, not the plate. The flux cup is an unglazed ceramic cup with a rough surface on which the cone can be ground to create a flux suspension. If you are new to blacksmithing you will need a plate to use this cone and they are also available on Amazon.

Pros
  • INSTRUCTIONS: Add a few drops of distilled water to the crucible, rub the borax cone in circular motions until the water turns into a milky paste and you're good to go!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
