Great product - matching drill required!

Bought to motivate 6x6 logs. The beat is huge and very well built. Because it has a threaded tip, it will continue to function once started with minimal effort. Be warned, this is so big and requires so much torque that you absolutely need a low speed drill. They aren't joking when they say the max revs are 600 rpm. I bought a low speed port cargo rig and this combo worked really well. any other drill will just burn through. (and the wood was pine!) Also, pulling this thing out can be a pain…

sharp and aggressive, too much for drilling hardwood stumps

For drilling 2" pine is great as other reviewers say, but I got it for drilling 12" deep holes in maple stump. I've used a shovel before, but it dulled quickly on maple and wouldn't pull chips out of a deep hole. I tried this drill with a heavy duty 7 amp Porter corded hammer drill on a 0-1100 RPM gearbox, but the threaded tip pulled the drill back so quickly the motor stalled. This bit has MAX RPM 600 printed on it so it's supposed to spin slowly, but it requires a very high torque, low RPM…

big drill in drill

Used this to drill screw holes for my new deck. (via 4 x 4 angle braces on 6 x 6 posts - 8.5" and 11" hole depth. Much better and cheaper than buying an extra long marine drill. Easy to start and just pull through wood. Uses a 19.2v Craftsman C3 Li-ion Cordless Drill At high speed the drilling is efficient and the sawdust really flies in. Wet treated wood doesn't clean well after the first 3" or so. I could turn it on at low speed (high torque) and drill, which i did the first hole.on the…
