🔧 Efficient Sanding with BOSCH RS035 Hard Hook-&-Loop Sander Backing Pad, Black Review

I bought this backing pad because I wanted a hard backing pad for surface sanding, not rounding corners. I was disappointed to find that it's as soft as the one you put on the grinder, but it's no harder than the original.

I should have bought a new backing pad a long time ago. Four screws is all the plate holds onto, so I was up and running in less than a minute. order again. Maybe a softer pillow next time.

Works perfectly I don't like orbital sanders. Now that they offer replacement pads I can move on. Easily interchangeable and with different underlay stiffness, I can adapt the underlay to the job I'm working on. Worth the money and then some

Put it on a Bosch random orbital sander. First plate, ok. Used it to sand siding (about 8 linear feet, 4 inch boards) and put on a second one. The second sanding disc (BOSCH 40 sandpaper) does not stick. Turn it on and the disc will come off. Tried with a whole pack of 25 sandpaper discs. Nobody will be liable. It's not worth it.

There is an H in a circle on the side of the product, I believe this indicates a hard lining. While the original pad that came with my ROS20VS has a circled M which probably means medium. While there was no discernible difference in foam hardness or hardness between the M and H pads with simple foam compression, I haven't received the (S) Soft pad yet, but I doubt it will make much of a difference. Will be updated after use if not up to expectations.

I don't really use Velcro much and I don't know much about how Velcro works. But when my sandpaper stopped holding, I knew I had to do something! It seems that"sticks" just like that. Hook. However, the tips break off over time and no longer stick to the loops on the back of the sandpaper. Looking for a way to fix this I found replacement pads for my random orbit sander. Bought as a spare as the original grinder needed replacing. Received it quickly, 2 days as usual, and instillation was a breeze. Worked great for a very short time. Unfortunately, she worked less than 4 months. In those 4 months it was only used for 2 small projects (side tables maybe a few hours of sanding POSSIBLY). I wanted to love this product as much as we have always recommended our Bosch to other carpenters, but unfortunately it wasn't love. Not sure if we just received a defective lemon
