As others have said, they are easy to install. 5 minutes. Simply insert a screwdriver into the clip, pry it out and remove the old one. New ones are installed immediately, no additional tools are required (Honda Element). Make sure you brace the back door. (I used a ladder) And the gate goes all the way to the top. I should have done this many years ago to stop hitting my head.

Very easy installation. took 5 minutes. Replaced my Honda which no longer opened fully. Fits perfectly. The hatch now appears to climb a little higher and very quickly. It takes a little more effort to close the hatch than before, but I get through it knowing I won't bang my head on the door again if it doesn't open fully!

Works very well I was skeptical about buying them but I am sold. I can't remember if the new sunroof opened that well. After two months of use it's too early to talk about durability but it works great. Unbranded side door. Who knows they won't disappoint the word of advice. Have someone hold the sunroof while you change them one at a time. This takes about two minutes.

Update: Upgrade to 5 stars. The order was delivered quickly and withstood carrier abuse. Compared to the OEM shocks, these had a 1/4 inch longer air case, but they fit. The installation was spot on with my Element, the direction was clear. After rotating the cylinder so that the markings faced the body, the appearance was identical to the OEM. The operation is smoother and more powerful than in the new car. After opening the Tailgate about 4 inches, it rises to full height about an inch higher…
