My kids gave me a Braun Series 3 a few years ago and it never really impressed me. It was good for removing stubble on my head and neck, assuming I use it every day. This was a task in itself, as shaving time took longer than just soaping your head and running a razor over it. However, I have sensitive skin and daily shaving would be huge for me, no no. I made several passes to bring the stubble up to acceptable standards. This leads to a slight razor burn and the occasional ingrown hair, phew.

This is the third Braun electric shaver I've owned since 2002 (thanks to Revain's order history). The last was the Series 7 (790cc), which ran out of cargo. Plastic, overly glossy finish looks a lot cheaper/thinner than the Series 7 predecessor, but the biggest shaving surface is the biggest complaint. Actually the whole razor is too big. It is too wide, which makes shaving the beard uncomfortable. Also, the balance isn't right - it just feels badly weighted/balanced in the hand. Definitely not worth the outrageous money they charge for it. I prefer the older and cheaper 7 Series.
