This "TZe ribbon printer only" appears to be mechanically sound. It's fast and automatically cuts 25mm of waste tape for each label. However, the Mac version of P-Touch Editor (I'm using V.5.1.108, latest version as of today 6-2017) really sucks. Brother will not try to knock you out of the feed. Look at the tape cassette. This is a three part system: black media, laminate and the self-adhesive label. At the exit you will see a feed roller that pulls them together and laminates them. There is no laminated label that does not start, otherwise two parts would stick.
