🐠 Bubble Magus QQ1 Nano Protein Skimmer: The Ideal Hang-On Solution Review

First day of use and seems to be working well, the instructions were written by a person who doesn't speak English very well. The water level is important and to fill it up you need to cap the main air pipe.

It took a few days to break in but has been slipping through the storm ever since! Not loud but it's the loudest unit in my setup so I can hear it standing next to the tank. It might not be ideal for a tank next to your bed, mine is next to the kitchen so the white noise drowns it out.

Love this skimmer, takes time to break in. But as soon as he does that, he slips away. I like that there is an overflow. It's easy to clean and remove the Skimate with a syringe, so you don't have to take out the bowl every time. Get a full cup about every 2-3 days. I run 8 hours a day. It was very loud at first, but then it got a little quieter. Still noisier than any of my other pumps but you can put it on a timer.

Can't say enough. I've used a couple of these indoors and hung them on the back and it's a lot better than both together, it actually works and after a week or so it's quiet and needs cracking which means more and more bubbles will appear if it's working properly . Works and purifies water quickly, the drip tray holds a lot and regulates bubbles by moving up and down the tube. Sad last update, after a few weeks of use everything seemed to be going fine, either the pump or venturi started to fail, period , at which point it gradually stops producing bubbles. It will probably need maintenance every two weeks to stay in tip-top shape. Never had this problem with any other skimmer that just needs a replacement drip pan.
