I had to twist the hood rod harder to get it into the groove to keep my hand out of the way. I read reviews about it and didn't even think it could be a problem. It worked. but it's a two person job.

These clamps will not work if you have an electric awning or at least take down Forest River. The part that fits into the tarpaulin is too long to fit between the engine cover and the pipe. It will not slip off either end.

We ordered these clips to hang lanterns on the awning when camping. Arrived quickly, fits well. They are tougher than I expected. So if you suspect the wind is blowing, or just want to roll up the awning, they must be removed before this happens.

These awning clips are very easy to fit and very strong. I used them to hang cafe lights from my trailer awning. Of course, don't forget to remove them when you put away your awning. Some newer electric awnings may require you to remove the housing on one end to insert the clips.

Item as described but clamps do not fit my awning's scroll bar channel. I have a Carefree electric awning and unfortunately there is no way to plug it into an available slot as the ends of the roller pole are capped so the channel is not accessible from the end. Even if the chute is rotated to the top position, the end caps will not let it into the chute.

I have used these clips on a RV cover for years. works perfectly. The clips flex slightly when I clip the panels onto the clips on the canopy. never broke down. You must have some flexibility. I hang side panels for EZ-up awnings on the sides and front of the awning. I bought 8 white boards from Amazon. The clips only hold the panels at the front of the dome. The side parts are attached to the side arms of the awning. The panels have Velcro straps that attach easily and securely to the canopy…

We had a lot of fun attaching party lights to our RV awning with these hanging clips. They moved easily and were strong enough to hold both lights and a small flag. The only problem we had was that we had to quickly remove the canopy due to high winds. It took quite a long time to lengthen the clamps before we could fold the canopy (the wind whipped us the entire time) and we were uncomfortable leaving them in place. I think they can damage the fabric of the canopy if not removed before…

I really like these. They fit well but the quality of the materials needs to be more durable. In particular, I use them to hold a flat LED strip. It actually fits the clamps very well, but the material of the clamps tends to warp them. Simply put, they are not of high quality and not robust enough. The clamping part tends to bend depending on what you are holding on to. I bought two sets to use the two together to hang more things, but I doubt these things can handle the lightest of lanterns…
