Description of Nikon Z5 Camera Kit with 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens, Black

The Nikon Z 5 mirrorless camera is rugged, lightweight, easy to handle and compatible with a range of compact full-frame lenses. Reach exciting new levels of image quality when shooting stills and videos. The hallmark of a mirrorless camera is Nikon''s Z mount, the world''s widest full-frame lens mount. More light enters the camera''s sensor, giving you the freedom to create images with greater detail, depth, and better colors. With a full-frame sensor, powerful EXPEED 6 processor and ultra-sharp electronic viewfinder, the Nikon Z 5 makes it easy to capture full-frame images. You can even crop photos without losing detail, perfect for prints and websites. Portraits with rich tonal transitions. Movies with very shallow depth of field. The full-frame 24.3-megapixel CMOS sensor takes full advantage of the light-collecting capabilities of the ultra-wide Z-mount for superior results.

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

The first FF camera in my hands for quite a long time of photography. Before her sat on Canon. He sat so tight . crop DSLR, optics park, puff, G16 as a spare camera. As a result, over time, the DSLR, along with the lenses, became dusty, and the G16 was enough for all the trips . Until the second wave of craving for artistic photography swept over. And away we go) First I started looking at used pennies with low mileage, then at the Canon RP, and in the end, in the hands of the Nikon Z5, and…

Pros
  • Ergonomics Nikon. Compactness. Modern features: + Wireless photo transfer to smartphone and laptop + Remote control + Touch screen + 2 slots for normal cards + The ability to charge the camera via type-c is a very cool option! I checked it out when I came to visit with a discharged camera. If you do not have the habit of putting all your devices on charge at night, then this is something that can help out a lot.
Cons
  • In two months of use, I can note only a couple of points: 1) RAW files are not taken directly by Photoshop, you need to install Adobe Camera raw. After CR2 is weird 2) The external flash SB-700 does not have a focus point illumination . As far as I understand, the reason is just the same in the camera (mirrorless system) 3) Once, for unknown reasons, it hung with a strange squeak when exiting sleep mode. Turning it off helped. What it was - I did not understand, but it happened the next day after the firmware ate. It didn't happen again.

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

Use for: 95% photo, 5% video. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, at such a cost a good price / quality ratio. Who in the subject I think knows why it is better to take FF instead of crop 1.5, it's not about "bokeh". I often carry it with me, with a 24-50 lens it looks like a cheap camera in a good way, it does not attract attention. If I figure out the autofocus, I will correct the rating to "5".

Pros
  • Sizes, not too big and not too small, comfortable to hold and carry, good balance of size. Great viewfinder, clear and easy to understand. Good build, nice to hold. Excellent in-camera camera, stopped shooting in RAW, if not responsible shooting. 2 memory card slots. An excellent 24-50 whale lens, yes it is dark, but very sharp and quiet, suitable for video. FTZ adapter, the old optics work, almost everything, even the third-party Sigma 10-20 3.5, started up with autofocus. I liked the quality of the video, even 4k with a crop (but I'm not a professional in this). matrix stabilizer.
Cons
  • Autofocus is not very good, especially at dusk, I am silent about the darkness, there are Nikon DSLRs, they focus better. Frequent misses in focus in daylight, and this is strange, the focus priority (rather than shutter release) is set in the settings. The FTZ adapter does not work with all native lenses, for example Nikon 10.5 DX fisheye - autofocus does not work. 4K video writes with a crop, it's not critical for me.

As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

those who take this camera know what it is for you, if you just bought a compact camera to shoot on vacation, then it's better to take a z50 or a Sony. Pros below: stabilization, normal flash drives here, unlike z6. and two whole slots, dimensions, comfortable grip, charging via type-c, Cons below: inadequate prices for lenses for this mount, sometimes swears at other batteries, in comparison with brake mirrors. the backlash of the branded adapter, moreover, is not weak.

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

Nikon Z5 was my first camera. I prepared for the purchase very carefully and for a long time - I tested my friends' cameras (mirror and mirrorless in the price range from 30,000 to 200,000) and came to the conclusion that mirrorless cameras are definitely the future. They are lighter in weight, easier to manage, they have a friendlier interface, which is important for a novice photographer. Buying such a camera, you can focus on creativity, spending much less time mastering the technical side…

Pros
  • The camera is very light, it is convenient to take it with you on trips. With a whale lens, it's generally tiny. Fits perfectly in the hand. With it, you do not get tired of shooting for several hours in a row. The display leans back, which allows you to look at the shooting "from a different angle" (this is convenient when shooting video, and the video shooting itself is supported in 4k mode). The display is touch sensitive and the response is immediate. Focuses well on the eyes. Does not hang in the cold, copes well with the heat too. In good light, you can safely shoot with the lens that comes with the kit. Two slots for memory cards (you can duplicate information for important and responsible shooting). The charge lasts a long time. Intuitive settings.
Cons
  • The only drawback that I can highlight today is continuous shooting at 4.5 frames per second (when there are a lot of people in the frame and they are not posing, but actively gesticulating and fussing - sometimes the picture comes out blurry), but if you are mainly engaged in studio shooting , shooting portraits, then this should not bother you when buying. Although over time I got used to reportage shooting on it.
