The box had a sticker that said *New* and the lens looked fine, but the white boxed versions are usually sold for 10-20% off that price and the description doesn't mention I got the white box bought. This lens is showing its age. I'm not sure why Canon still ships it with the latest APS-C bodies. This lens has been replaced by the new EFS 18-135mm and EFS 15-85mm lenses with UD glass element. Get these instead. However, the EF 28-135mm can be used for full-frame cameras. So it has its own benefit depending on what you do in the future.
