not the most mac friendly

it works fine but doesn't include apple software, you have to go to the canon website to get the driver + it has to be the second driver as only it has the required software from Canon responded nicely + quickly via email to sort things out

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Functionality

A lower quality is easily recognizable. Scans well, does not jam

Looks like DR-M160II (pictured). not so difficult, lower quality is easy to recognize. Scan well and clearly, you get what you pay for. It seems that the price of the M160II has gone up to make room for this new product.

Pros
  • Very good price

Exactly what I was hoping for

I used to buy cheaper scanners. If I spend a little more, I get better speed with good quality. Good decision. I had a crash during the installation process. Probably my fault. I called Canon technical support and got very good help in resolving the issue.

Pros
  • Everything was great!
Cons
  • So far, so good

Great scanner - scanner and accessories

I scan many different types of documents. I have used Xerox and other business scanners in the past and this one has the best hardware and software I have used over the years. This scanner is a great addition to my business (and home). If you want to scan documents to PDF or images, everything is fine.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

Great scanner at a great price

We were looking for an above average compact scanner but didn't want to pay too much for it. This scanner meets the criteria. It scans well and the program is easy to use and understand. Very customizable. Setup was easy. You don't have to pay an IT expert to set it up. We bought 3 of these and all 3 users are very happy with the performance.

Pros
  • Reliable
Cons
  • Quality

Installation instructions were not very good. I finally set it up and the scan would have taken forever. I had to ask a tech to check it out and the problem they found was that the disc that came with it had to be installed with an old version. He went online and found a newer version, installed it and now it works perfectly. I like the functionality of the product now that it is working properly.

Very fast duplex scanner

Used as a staple in the reception area. This is a great way to duplicate your documents for quick digital conversion. There are a few things you can work on with this scanner. The biggest problem is that the software that comes with it is really clunky and Cannon needs to significantly improve the features it offers. However, if you're using the software built into your practice management system, you should be fine. This can cause some problems with WIA - check your software type. Overall the…

Difficult to use, many jams - Day 1

we scan documents every day, few documents but different sizes. We have been using printer scanners for years and this is the second time I have invested in a scanner to improve our efficiency (the first time was the Brother DS-200). For some things, I care more about efficiency than speed and quality. We mostly scan documents, so I don't care about colors, and I don't care about 30ppm. I'm looking for a one-click scan-to-disk button, and this is far from it. too many clicks to get to the…

Pros
  • Scanners and accessories
Cons
  • Useless functions
