Simple and elegant bird watching camera

I am an ornithologist and have been looking for the best camera binoculars at an affordable price for years. I recently asked if there are monoculars for cameras. I loved this Canon - light, small, easy to use, with great optics and photo quality. Would recommend to my large family of ornithologists.

Pros
  • 12 megapixel CMOS sensor.
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

First impression is a good toy for my children. I will use it for the wedding to see how the photos and videos. I can't say how long the battery lasts and there's no rubber cover to protect the lens. This leads to blotchy images. I have my own protective cloth pouch, but I always have to clean my lenses. I rate it 3.5 to 4 stars. Can't wait to see how the photos will turn out.

Pros
  • Integrated Wi-Fi* and Bluetooth**.
Cons
  • There are nuances

Canon can do better!

Lightweight and portable, works like a mini spotting scope. Offers a combination of optical (100-400x) and digital (800x) zoom, image stabilization, autofocus, integrated camera. But the software is clumsy and the photo quality is very poor. I've been using the device for a few weeks on my daily walks in the deer park, it seems to work but is hardly ever used. We recommend waiting for the next generation of such devices. Canon can do better!

Pros
  • Full HD 1080 30p video and photo recording up to 12 megapixels.
Cons
  • For older models

I think this shipment is defective - I had to make TWO returns

Goods don't knock. I really like this little camera. Tried one out at a camera shop - BUT - I've gotten two in the past few weeks and had to send them back. They will not burden you. I took them to my local camera shop and they tried different cables - plugs - they didn't charge either. Both had the same issue and I think Canon just had a bad shipment that went to Revain. I still want one of these cameras and happily buy from Revain but I'll probably have to wait and see if they get anything in

Pros
  • Built-in microphone, USB-C port and SD card slot.
Cons
  • A few little things

Ideal for daylight use with binoculars and scopes

Other reviews have their value, but what they have is a satisfactory solution. One use case was where someone with a reasonably good 24-200mm camera needed a 400/800 zoom. In most cases the resolution is quite detailed at 24-200, but there are also small cases where you need to capture distances. This PowerShot Zoom is small enough for my front mount or in my pocket. I am buying this with the intention of using both my 24-200 for wider shots and my 400/800 for focused shots of animals and…

Pros
  • Compact and lightweight.
Cons
  • Can I add something?

Interesting idea, big disappointment.

I like to carry a small Minox 6x16 monocular in my pocket for the occasional better bird or plane view, and would like a better camera than I have on a phone. This device made such a promise. And that disappointed me. The ergonomics are terrible. The shutter button sits awkwardly, is small and has almost no tactile feedback, which is necessary because there is almost no on-screen feedback when taking pictures, only the white frame blinks once when taking pictures, there isn't either audio…

Pros
  • Optical image stabilization for shake correction.
Cons
  • Damaged

Skip this product and wait for the next generation of

Canon did a poor job of executing what could have been a great idea. Images are decent in full light. Anything else and everything becomes grainy. The interface design sucks - the layout of the buttons isn't well thought out. Bluetooth software interface does not allow access to video files The ability to use your camera to remotely control the Devi is great, but there is no mount for the device so this feature is of little value. There isn't even a flat spot where it would be possible to make…

Pros
  • LiveView and photo downloads available in the Canon Camera Connect app^.
Cons
  • Hard to remember, but it was

Not bad if you take it for what it is

Not a bad monocular, not a quality DSLR with a $5000 lens on the front. Picture quality is good not great, video is good but not great. It's good for a day at the lake or for bird watching. I'm impressed with how quickly it turns on. The menu takes a little getting used to. My main complaint is the lack of manual settings. I would prefer to focus manually. then exposure settings. But this suggests that not everything is so bad so far. I don't like the fact that I had to provide my own charger…

Pros
  • Autofocus (Continuous in playback mode; face tracking available during video).
Cons
  • boring packaging
