I would choose Arches Hot Press Paper if it's smooth.

If you want a smooth finish I would choose Arches Hot Press Paper. It just doesn't feel very professional after getting used to Arches paper for a while.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Expensive

This paper is perfect for my watercolor markers.

When I use this paper for my watercolor pencils, they blend so smoothly. I've tried some other mixed materials with markers and they didn't always mix well so I'm really glad I found this paper.

Pros
  • Arts and Crafts Supplies
Cons
  • Crumpled

I am totally in love with this notebook. This is the first Canson product I have used. My art studies required a large multi-media notebook. I've noticed my drawing pencils smudge, but the use of watercolor on this paper is amazing. I just ordered more Canson pads to replace all mine. I will never go to any other newspaper again. Canson is more expensive but the quality is excellent.

Pros
  • Art Paper
Cons
  • Doubt
