Not like stovetop coffee, but good.

I've been using a stove top coffee maker for a long time but it's only rated for 8 cups (actually it's only 6 servings) but I need a bigger kettle as I have more coffee drinkers now. I like this percolator because it has a glass lid instead of aluminum. I liked that it made 12 cups quickly and love that it had a warmer when using it at the table. It's not like stovetop coffee, there's no way to increase the brew time to make it stronger, and the coffee is fairly warm, but not super hot, and the

Breaks easily - do not buy (falls apart and disables sockets)

We bought this in July 2018. We've had coffee makers for about 16 years and expected this one to last as long as the others. First the lower black protective part was unscrewed and the heating element exposed. My husband screwed it back on (using our own screws because the ones that came with the machine just disappeared). This seemed to work. Over the next month (December and January) the machine started clipping our GFI sockets and the brew stopped mid-brew. We tried several outlets and it…

Shocking comparison

After evaluating all the percolators on offer, I chose this model because it is 100% stainless steel and glass. I used it for about a month and noticed that my kitchen always had a strange smell and no coffee aroma. I bought a Westbend coffee maker from a local discount store and tried them side by side. What I found was disturbing. I used identical cups and poured the same amount of coffee from each machine into separate cups. They were about the same strength and temperature. But when I…

Makes great coffee, just don't expect it to last long.

First of all I'm an electrical engineer and I love refreshing coffee. I have had several of these electric percolators. I connected mine to a remote timer so I can start making coffee while I'm still in bed. I installed it the night before. Electrically they are all the same. Some are built a little differently. This has worked great for almost a year. It is assumed that the coffee will be brewed for about 7 minutes and then go into "warm up mode". What happens is that the device that measures…

Works fine for the way I use it.

I bought a coffee maker to make a lot of coffee at once from the cheapest coffee brand I could find. I bought this machine about a year ago because it was in stock at Revain and at the lowest price for a machine of this type and size. ($24.00) It has served me well so far because it makes good coffee with little effort. I've tried using filters in it to reduce the amount of grounds that spill out when pouring, but I've found that filtering the coffee as it's being poured out of the coffee maker

I'm excited! best in coffee makers

I was looking for a new coffee maker and happened to be at a coffee party. The coffee they drank was delicious and so mild and after learning they had a coffee maker I decided to try one for my home. After looking at everything I could find I settled on this capresso. The reason for this is because it was stylish, it keeps the coffee warm, it's all stainless steel, you can see the coffee seeping through the top lid, detachable cord, 12 cup capacity, and reviews here on Revain. I was a little…

Looks good but produces weak beer

Overall I was pleased to find a stainless steel percolator that contained what appears to be a stainless steel basket and stem. It appears to be well made and it's a nice coffee pot too, with a blue light that lights up when the coffee is ready. However, after brewing a Starbucks Sumatra pot, which is a fairly strong dark blend, with this coffee maker, the coffee was surprisingly weak. Changing the amount didn't help. Using the same Starbucks blend but with less ground coffee, the coffee is…
