crap, don't buy it!

The device worked for 30 days, then it suddenly stopped counting CO. Without the possibility of a return. Lost $100 to an unwanted tool. Damn.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not the best

Not worth it, good for carbon monoxide alarms

Used once, removed after 3 months, commissioned, won't turn on. Replaced batteries - nothing. I liked Klein's instruments. Very disappointed

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Low repairability

Not accurate to 30ppm at temp difference

It's just not accurate to use in every HVAC setup. This is literally why I spent over $600 on parts and followed phantom readings for a week. It measures temperature well, but there are better products out there.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • So far so good

Low Accuracy - Security

HVAC tech. I bought this to test my oven in the fall and winter but it doesn't seem to read well. It jumps from 0 ppm above the acceptable ranges and then periodically decreases. Seeing this, I borrowed a field detector from a colleague and walked home side by side with them. The field display showed 0-2ppm and this jumped above 40 twice.

  • Alright!

Didn't even turn on

I received this product and it never worked straight away. I called the company and asked for help to see what I'm doing wrong. They were useless and almost rude. She said she didn't know what it could be. Unfortunately, for all the craziness in the world, I missed the return date; Lesson learned, I had to do it the same day. I ended up spending a lot of money on a product that didn't work.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost never

Would be a great tool if it measured carbon monoxide reliably.

I have used many other carbon monoxide detectors over the years. Decided to try this machine after my last one got lost. This device also takes temporary readings which would be a bonus for me. The temperature gauge is a bit slow, but that is typical of many temperature gauges. The biggest problem is that this meter just doesn't read CO properly. I have some conflicting readings with him. I tried to calibrate according to the instructions. Even when placed on a source such as a gas stove, the…

Instant reading down to 1ppm in real time

I used this tool to test a ventless gas fireplace to make sure it burned clean. It provided real-time CO readings down to 1ppm and updated instantly to show me the fireplace was mostly burning clean with a random 40ppm CO surge. You should not trust carbon monoxide detectors or detectors. You need a meter like this to be sure. Carbon monoxide alarms do not have certified ratings for what level of carbon monoxide they will detect or sound at. Most need to be exposed to 40ppm CO for more than 10…

Affordable meter - still concerned

Overall I like this product and it seems to give reliable readings. But accuracy is sometimes questionable, as some other reviews have noted. First, it definitely seems like there's always a lag of around 20 seconds. I can run with the meter behind my treadmill and after about 15-20 seconds the reading jumps significantly to 20-40ppm. Walking into an open space seems to be a faster reaction. Often less than 10 seconds. I've had a few weird moments registering 0ppm in the garage. It would be…
