🚤 Tohatsu/Nissan & Mercury Outboard Boat Engine Carburetor 3R1-03200-1/0, 3AS-03200-0, 803522T1/2, 8M0053670 - 3.5HP, 4HP & 5HP Review

Mercury outboards are easy replacements and very fuel consuming. Some kind of dirt will cause a problem. Try not to use ethanol based fuel unless you are using it for marine applications. IE Valvetec or any other processing. It's hard to find ethanol here in Connecticut. I found 95 octane race gas for $14 a gallon. Tractor Supply or other lawn mower repair shops sell mixed gas for $18 a half gallon. Keep the fuel system clean and there will be no problems.

I ordered this carburettor from Revain and it was at my house in 2 days. I installed it on my Mercury 4 3.5 stroke outboard after having problems with the old carb that wouldn't idle. I don't know how many times I tried to clean the carburetor but it still wouldn't idle. So I bought this carburetor and installed it myself in 5 minutes. Started on the third pull, everything works fine. Good to hear my engine is idling now.

This little carb was perfect. I have been tracking fuel issues on my Mercury 3.5hp 4 stroke. 2010. Other companies wanted tons of money for this carburetor and I just couldn't afford it. I bought one that is identical to the factory carburetor. As soon as I installed it and started the engine, it started right away and drove like a champ. I highly recommend this carburetor. It was much cheaper and faster shipping.

For years I've struggled to get my 3.5 Tohatsu to work. especially at idle. I have cleaned and repaired the carburetor dozens of times. This solution was quick, easy and well worth it. Now the engine runs like new. Likewise. throughout the process. I discovered that the on/off valve had a rotten fuel filter built into it - INSIDE THE FUEL LINE! Which was probably the problem all along. I cut this crook and included a small built in filter from an auto parts store as a field mod.
