Great for working on the Audi B8!

I used 1 bit to work on a 2012 Audi A4 to remove the idler pulley bolt. Worked perfectly as there was no space between the engine and the radiator fan. They did their job without having to remove anything else. The quality is good, if anything changes I will update my review.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No performance

Invaluable along with a gear wrench

Used on my 2.5 liter Jetta to remove the serpentine belt tensioner to replace the alternator from underneath. Combined with a 5/8" serrated wrench, it quickly loosened the triple square head bolt with such a small gap between the frame and tensioner.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Negative gift

A must for a Volkswagen arborist

Nothing broke when changing the clutch in my VW GTI - worked like clockwork. I confess I've even used them with my Milwaukee 1/2" impact wrench with 1/2 to 3/8 adapter. They seem very light and very fragile but as I said no problem. Nice and short to get into tight spaces to fit.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Hard to say

A must have for VW/Audi projects

This is exactly what I needed. I had a couple of 12 point triple squares in tight spaces that a regular outlet wouldn't fit. You can add a ratchet wrench or ratchet to the end if you have space. They seem to be able to withstand a lot of torque despite having a fairly lightweight design. Very happy camper!

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Obsolete

Expensive but works - Custom sockets

I believe needed a 6mm or 8mm triple square drive for my VW axle bolts. Something that doesn't chafe the CV boots too much, which was the lowest profile I could find. Expensive for what they are but appear to be made of quality metal and are holding up well. The odd thing is that the 4-8mm uses a 7/16 socket or wrench instead of a metric size. So I used a 7/16 ratchet wrench and it worked great. 4-8mm also use a 1/4" drive if I'm not wrong. I haven't used a 10-16mm except they use a 3/8 drive…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I didn't necessarily put them under a lot of stress, but they worked great for what I needed them for. I couldn't find them in this short style at O'Reilly's, Autozone, Napa Auto, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, or Baxter's Auto. Revain had to come to the rescue after spending 6 hours driving across town to each of these locations when I was in dire need of low profile triangular bits to fix a bottleneck in my Audi's engine bay. and this set is certainly of good quality and based on my…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
