Description of πŸ”§ Carter P72165 Fuel Pump and Strainer Kit

Built to meet or exceed OEM fit and reliability and 100% factory tested and approved. Includes patented Clean Screen strainer, which provides up to 40% greater dirt-holding capacity than the next-best competing strainer, providing longer life with less clogging. Solid silver fuel sender contact design provides better electrical conductivity, extending sender contact life while providing resistance to corrosive fuel blends and additives. Armatures are over molded for optimum balance and long life, reducing turbulence with added armature wire protection. Most applications include the necessary accessories such as tank seals, patented high-gradient density strainers, and wiring harnesses.

Not perfect. best replacement parts

i use this rebuild kit on a 1989 mazda rx7. What he didn't mention was that it was a modernized design, so the hardware had to be changed to match the new design. Difficult but good.

Don't waste money.

I have used Carter fuel pumps in the past including this particular vehicle over 11 years ago. Well the new one lasted less than 3 miles. I will NOT replace it with any other Carter product. I will also no longer buy major auto parts from Revain.

1990 Mazda B2600i - 294,000 miles. The whole process, so be careful. Date "to" and "from". I had the date 9/89 (to) the tank "from" (4/90) is completely different.) The transmitter unit has been discontinued. Found new fuel drain valve and bushing ($25). All fuel lines on the top of the fuel tank and fuel lines coming from the metal and plastic valve replaced. You can use these clamps on ventilation lines. On the two fuel lines coming from the sender you will need to use screw clamps (I had a…
