These are fakes, cheap fakes. The original gloves were manufactured in Greece under Vrissimdji Bros. patents for many years. Co under the Casabella brand. I've been using these gloves for many years, they're soft, they smell nice, they don't have plastic inside and now Casabella is doing something wrong. These gloves are fantastic in terms of heat resistance and durability. I can use them under very hot water for long periods of time without burning my hands or tearing my gloves. However, when I take them out of my hands, they smell absolutely foul.
