Great size for an English bulldog! You get width without the excessive height of other doors. Install it like most other brands. The plastic frame is strong, the valve is thicker than other brands. I measured my German Shepherd Husky and bought the correct large size. He can't get out through the tiny door. Now it is installed, which is very expensive for the contractor, so it must be left. I was looking at another brand and it was so huge it took up most of the door. I suggest measuring your dog and then cutting out a piece of cardboard the same size as the valve. Attach it to the door and see if it fits your dog. Don't use their size chart. Now I don't have the expense of two dog doors…

This is the worst pet door I have ever bought. It was easy to install, but the lid was missing a screw. After just a week or so, the flap partially detached, causing a plastic corner to chip off and the piece inside the edge to slide out. I taped the corner to hold it in place and put in a screw where one was missing, but as the top of the flap is now a little torn it no longer hangs straight and sits squarely on the magnet underneath . Luckily this is for the interior door. I think the bottom magnet didn't come with the product😡. The side magnets kept falling out and landing on the valve to put it back together. I had to remove, paste and wait😡. Also, they don't tell you what's up and down relative to the front frame. After purchasing this product I attempted to incorporate it into my metal and glass storm door. I tried to follow the instructions, drew the inside dimensions of the door and cut them out. It doesn't just fit the inside dimensions of the door as the two parts of the door need to slide into each other and the screw holes and guides are on the outside of the inside dimension. So I had to keep cutting until it finally squeezed into the door. At this point there was only about 1/4 inch or less…
