Broke on first use

They literally broke on first use. The top of one of the sides fell off when I used it with little to no pressure. After they broke I used a cheap Chinese pair that survived. Time to invest in Milwaukee!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later

So great I bought them twice!

With their features and excellent workmanship, they are a bargain at almost any price. I was really upset when I lost my previous set! I have 3 other channelocks and they have all given me pleasure for many years!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in black

Craftsman not worthy

I am a handyman and use needle nose pliers all day at work. They didn't even make it into my tool bag. The grip is slippery. The worst thing about the tool is that the handles are too close together, requiring you to squeeze your hand too hard. Even trying it out, my hands felt uncomfortable. The channel lock makes some great adjustable wrenches, but they failed on this one.

Pros
  • Best in my niche
Cons
  • Dear

Great tool. in Hand Tools

Made in USA. what else needs to be said. When it comes to hand tools, I cannot rely on cheap Chinese goods, my tools are my income and this tool is reliable and durable. I have no doubt that it will last me 10 years or more. I have a similar pair that I have had for almost twenty years now and the rubber grips and everything still grips like never before. The Channellocks America Made line is just as good as the rest.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Nothing

Tips can be easily bent: needle nose pliers

Breakable, tips snap back instantly with little effort, good for delicate work but needs to be much stronger for the size of these pliers. They are good for the DIY enthusiast but not for mechanic or professional jobs. Luckily I took the tip to a bench grinder and removed the bent part so they are still usable, if not quite "needle".

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Crumpled

What happened to the US quality?

The blade on one side of the jaws protrudes further than the jaws. I had to write it down. Another small gap between the jaws to the end of the jaws. The fit and finish is poor. My guess is that they need to lower their labor costs to be price competitive with Taiwanese and Chinese tools. Less time spent on grinding, quality control, etc. My Tekton 8" needle nose pliers have a much better finish. They are made in Taiwan. I bought these Channellock needle nose pliers to replace a 50 year oldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No power

Channellock is the best tool made in USA. The quality is fantastic!

I really like Channellock products as I have used their tools for many jobs. built for life. If you only plan to use the tool for the occasional job, it's probably not worth spending money on for the absolute best quality. However, if you are looking for a quality tool that you can trust and a company that stands behind their products, you can't go wrong with Channellock!

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Lightly dented

There are different models

I ordered this and I ordered a 6 inch set from another source that starts with Eb. The seller on Eb sent me an 8" with the same part number but the handles curve inwards and then outwards again. I gave them to my adult son from Amazon and left them with crooked hands. I like this design better I have several canal locks from the 1960's and they are definitely better made. And now there are good Chinese tool makers. However, when it comes to needle nose pliers, in my experience American orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cross hatch on jaws, handles are tight
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

You need these pliers in your tool box.

Okay, needle nose pliers are a very subjective subject for people who use tools to make a living. You take any technician from any field and he tells you about the brand and size of pliers he has chosen for his job and the variety of choices will blow your mind. I started in car audio, home theater, commercial theater and sound reinforcement, then moved to industrial electronics and then industrial automation/programming. A consistent feature of my 30 years of work in the above fields is that I
