It's a bit small for a chopped salad unless you're serving it individually or in small portions, but I like it for slicing other foods. That's great. I rarely use my large cutting board except for meat. This is a great size for slicing vegetables. I use it to chop onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and carrots for salads. It is also great for herbs. The size is very easy to care for and fits in my drawer. It's really awesome.

I needed a cutting board for my Ululu knife. It fit perfectly. Made from real wood, the flat, bowl-like surface and the added knurled ring keep what I'm cutting from sliding off the cutting board, and when I need a smooth, flat surface, I just turn it over. Very easy to care for, including the retaining ring groove. And they're a lot lighter and easier to store than those giant, clunky plastic rectangular cutting boards.

Great board, good quality. Unfortunately, we have a two-handled Mezzaluna knife, and the curvature of this board is too great, making it impossible to touch the ground, only the sides. So if you can get this for one-handed knives, you're probably good. But it won't work for two-handed. It looks like a great board though, hence 5 stars. While I cannot rate the items' durability/cleanability, Revain would like me to rate them in a review.

I love Chef Mezzaluna's checkered cutting board! The wood is great and the shape is perfect for my mezzaluna. I chop fresh herbs like basil and parsley and love how easy they are to chop. And the size is suitable for a handful of herbs. It's also easy to clean. The blade penetrates the wood only a little and the cuts are not very noticeable. And the other side can be used for a round cheese board! How nice! I'm so glad I ordered from Checkered Chef. The best cutting bowl I've ever had! Delivery

Very happy with this quality cutting board. Have used it many times with Double Blade Rocker with no damage - it's really good hardwood. It is much better to use such a concave surface for cutting with a swinging knife - the food will stay in place, and you will end up with well-cut food. This is a very well made cutting board. With the right Mezzaluna knife, this works extremely well. The seller is not to blame! I bought this cutting board because Revain recommended it with a 9" Wüsthoff Mezzaluna knife. The problem is that the arc of a knife is very different from the arc of a cutting board. This way the knife only touches the edges of the cutting board and 1/8" above the bottom of the cutting board. I bet this cutting board will work fine for a smaller knife. That's not the…
