It covers most of the four element electric range leaving only a fraction of an inch uncovered on the heating elements. I set the oven to a roasting pan and oiled the pan, turning it every 10 minutes to season it. Learning to cook with it is a real learning curve, it's a lot of fun.

Honestly, if there's one bad review for this thing on here (shipping damage aside), it's someone who can break a steel ball. Treat it like cast iron and you'll never have a problem. It's 1/4" carbon steel so obviously it's going to be heavy and yes it will rust unless you oil and season it! It won't warp if you keep the heat even (and not high heat, which will burn your food anyway!)

This pan will take your dinner party to the next level. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Follow the seasoning instructions, a very important step. It's very heavy and quite big so make sure you have a good place to put it. I also bought all of the spatulas, the lid, and some of the other tools listed in the Often Bought Together section. I love to cook and have fun and I wanted to do something different for my guests. Hibachi is definitely a hit!

On the plus side, it's heavy and thick, making it easy to sand down scratches without moving it. The downside to this thing is that it's so heavy it takes a long time to heat up - probably 15 minutes. You can heat it up faster, but not without hot spots. I bought this product to use on a glass surface. It's not designed for that, so it warps during the cooking process. I have 5 burners on a glass plate so the eyes below are not evenly aligned. I can't deduct a single star for that because it's my cooker's fault, not the product. I'm willing to bet it would be ok if it sat evenly on 4 burners.
