I really like this router. It was easy to set up and I've never had any problems with it. I like the Linksys interface for control pages. The antennas are not detachable, but with a little know-how you can replace/modify them with larger ones. This router is not compatible with DD-WRT

The setup software supplied with the router could not be installed on a Windows 8.1 PC. I tried this on two PCs, one was 32-bit and the other was 64-bit Windows 8.1. The installer ran and failed after about 10 seconds. I believe the problem was that the software was designed for an older version of the OS like XP. This is a great wireless router - much better than the DLink unit I had before or the integrated 2-wire unit I had with a previous DSL service provider. The network coverage in my house is very good. I bought a WRT100 from Revain. Having used many of their products before, I didn't use the setup utility but set everything up manually. It is very similar to the WRT54G family.
