Easy to use and works well

I really like this router. It was easy to set up and I've never had any problems with it. I like the Linksys interface for control pages. The antennas are not detachable, but with a little know-how you can replace/modify them with larger ones. This router is not compatible with DD-WRT

like XP. So I can't say anything about that.

The setup software supplied with the router could not be installed on a Windows 8.1 PC. I tried this on two PCs, one was 32-bit and the other was 64-bit Windows 8.1. The installer ran and failed after about 10 seconds. I believe the problem was that the software was designed for an older version of the OS like XP. So I can't say anything about the router because I couldn't install the software. I sent the unit back (no problems at all) and bought a Netgear Smart WiFi Router AC1750 from Revain…

Worked for a while

Many years ago my roommate had a WRT54G and liked it. When I moved in, I got a D-Link router for $20, which I also really liked. After a while we received 2 Acer laptops and one of them was not compatible with D-Link. Anyway, I thought it was time for an upgrade and I would buy the WRT54G again. When I walked into the store, I saw this and said, why not! Sounds high speed and its Linksys! I had it for a few months and then we moved. After we moved in, my laptops were constantly connected to an…

Cool Lynksys WRT100

This is a great wireless router - much better than the DLink unit I had before or the integrated 2-wire unit I had with a previous DSL service provider. The network coverage in my house is very good. There's one room in particular that I work in occasionally where Dlink wasn't working at all and 2-Wire happened to be working. The WRT100 has very good to excellent connectivity. The Easy Link software that came with the router didn't work properly, but I downloaded a newer version from the…

Great product, TERRIBLE installer

I was replacing an old router that kept failing so we had to power it down and restart it. This new one works perfectly once we install and configure it properly. The speed is pretty good: we're actually seeing a 30% improvement for no apparent reason! One of the reasons I bought it was because the range was supposed to be good, but it didn't work for me. It says in the title: RangePLUS! With MIMO. However, my New York apartment appears to have lead walls or some kind of Gaussian surface…

Fast, stable and with 150 Mbps!

After using my old Linksys B router for 8 years I decided to upgrade to a faster wireless router. I chose the WRT100 because I was curious about MIMO and it unofficially supports the 80211n. Setup was very easy, setting up the PPPOE router to connect to my ATT DSL took less than 5 minutes. Four laptops, Macbook Pro, Macbook, Dell Inspiron 8200 with Linux, old G4 PSU and a desktop PC, Compaq Pressario, were soon connected. The range was very impressive and actually managed to pick up a strong…

Time is not on my side

I bought a WRT100 from Revain. Having used many of their products before, I didn't use the setup utility but set everything up manually. It is very similar to the WRT54G family. Configuration was easy and predictable. For me the signal strength is much better than the 54 series. I only use it in B&G mode, without MIMO adapter. My problem is the internal clock. It is not showing the correct time and Linksys has again failed to write the correct/updated US Daylight Saving Time rules into their…

Works great after setup.

I have had a router for about 4 months. It was more difficult at first to set this up using the product assistant software. I'm used to the WRT54GS which I replaced on the WRT100 router. The older Linksys WRT54GS router was much easier to set up through a web browser interface. I tried initially to set up this WRT100 router the same way, but for some reason it failed to log in at first. I then tried the software wizard route and it set up the router perfectly. After that, I uninstalled the…
