Wow, should have tried it sooner

solder paste I've wanted to try it for a long time. On a whim I ordered this a few nights ago. I've seen several videos of people soldering with a regular soldering iron. I tried that and it worked fine. Then I realized my wife had a cheap thermal embossing gun. I tried and the real magic happened. When heated, it melts and turns into a flow that spreads throughout the body. But after a few seconds, the solder itself appears and grabs the solder bumps, and then it seems like you did a perfect…

The first solder paste I used seems to work fine

This is the first solder paste I have ever used. Ideal for surface mounting. There was some air in the hose. I'm not sure how to prevent this, but it creates a small buffer; When you push on the piston, it compresses air. And then the solder paste comes out. When you stop pushing the plunger, the paste will flow out a little more. I'm not sure if this is the standard or not. But it's annoying. I wish he had a nice hat. I just put a piece of plastic on the end that I got from the test lead and…

leaves white residue when cleaned in my ultrasonic bath

This is the second tube I've bought - the first was in 2017. It has a problem the previous one didn't have: when I circuit boards made with this paste through my ultrasonic cleaner, it leaves a hard white residue around all SMD components. I don't know what the difference in composition is as the last tube had the same part number but I haven't had this problem. Stress during use but I had to add a step to clean the IPA SMD pads after they came out of the dryer when I used the very last tube of

Excellent kit. Works perfectly.

This set worked great! Comes with two nozzles and an orange cap. All tips and caps are twisted on the syringe and form a tight fit. The pink nozzle (fine tip) was PERFECT for applying a fine line on SOIC or diode solder paste dots/caps. The solder paste wets quickly and ensures a good connection. I used a Weller 350C fine tip DC station. Drag and drop soldered SOICs. Surprisingly easy, fast work when soldering objects in the photo. I used isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush to remove the paste…

Works well. Appears to be a high quality product.

Solder paste. Having made hundreds of solder joints with it, I haven't noticed a single problem reported with other solder pastes. It's a mixture of tin-lead bullets in a flux slurry, and the flux works well too. Regarding complaints about surface mount paste or flux, people often complain that boiling flux causes solder balls to fly all over the place. I haven't had this problem with this solder paste, whether it's my iron or heat gun. I lost the first pipe. It worked so well that I bought it…

Works like magic good for soldering

Love this stuff! Maybe I'm just brand new to this and still fascinated by how easy it is to use solder paste, but I've put some on some surface mount ICs and soldered them with my station and all I can say is wow ! As a newbie to SMD soldering, I found this incredibly easy to master. I found I was using more heat than I needed to get the job done and over time I found the perfect spot for it. The solder also flows very well after the initial heat, the only flaw I found in the whole build is the
