Works great for power supplies

Used on my new electric sailboat. I had to drop the voltage from 48V to 12V to power all my accessories. I just plug in my 48v power supply and run a wire to my switch panel and everything is powered: bilge pump, radio, navigation lights etc.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors

So far so good with power converters

I put this on my golf cart to add a radio. 36V to the converter or it will drain your battery. It comes with an extra fuse. It has no screws. I just went and bought some metal screws.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works perfectly! Best in Power Supply Accessory

I used this to power the 12vdc radio system on my 48vdc golf cart and it works great. Something to remember. It draws power from the batteries and stays on even if the radio is unplugged from the circuit. I added a heavy duty toggle switch between the ground wire from the batteries to the unit so it doesn't drain the batteries when not in use.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Expandable

Great built-in security features!

great boost converter! The built-in security works great. I was using SAE connectors on both the input and output and accidentally reversed the polarity for both connectors. The built in 40A fuse I used on the 8AWG wire from the battery blew but after testing the 12-24V converter was not damaged. This alone saved me from having to redo most of my project.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • socket required

It cannot be used to power the inverter.

We ordered this to power an inverter with a 24VDC input. When the inverter didn't turn on, we contacted the manufacturer. They were prompt and polite in their replies. We were told it couldn't be used to power an inverter so we returned it. Overall we think this is a well made item and apart from being used to power an inverter we think it's a safe item to buy.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Useless features

Economical and easy to use

I bought this 36 to 24V 20A so I can power a 24V children's toy that should draw a maximum of 15A No moving parts, no pin connections, to worry about soldering, just apply voltage and it works! If you're trying to price something like this at a large electronics store, it can be hard to find and very expensive. Both me and the kid drove the ride for about 20 minutes or so. The converter didn't even get warm. I hope it continues to work the way it originally worked. The instructions were clear…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing here

Ideal for replacing 12V RV batteries

Works great! I was a little concerned about this as I didn't see anyone with the settings I was trying to achieve in my van. But basically I installed 12kW lithium batteries in my 5th wheel but they are all 48v so I still had to leave the old flooded lead acid batteries for all the lights, slides, jacks etc. I took 4 of these and connected them to my 48 volt lithium battery and then connected the other end directly to the same wire as the old 12 volt batteries. Gives me 120 amps of electricity…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Reliability

For the price this is a great product. It works great according to the specifications. I personally had a problem with electrical noise on a golf cart. I bought it to power a 48v audio amplifier for a 12v golf cart. Unfortunately, the electric brake made quite a bit of noise, which was transmitted via 12V. I've also tried moving the converter away from other equipment on the golf cart. I even moved it 6ft away from the golf cart while troubleshooting and kept getting noises when I hit the…
