Short lifespan; failed after a few months.

field directions. The digital circuit prevents the battery from being charged with too low a voltage. This can be fixed with a different battery, but that's impractical. After several uses, the "Error" light came on while charging. Later, the error indicator started flashing during use regardless of the settings. Eventually the charger just fails. No more fees for all settings. Garbage. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

SOLAR Pro-Logix PL2310 could be the best

SOLAR Pro-Logix PL2310 is great this is a replacement as I left my last one out in the rain (keep dry). I have several other chargers and they just aren't that useful - no other parts are needed. I once bought branded electronics and they were so bad that I shredded them to save the volume of the shipping box and sent them back to the manufacturer saying "No refund request, just a vote on your quality." " This PL2310 is also a great device.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Get to know the charger. Did a test run and it turned itself off overnight while charging a standard 1 year old battery on the 2 amp setting. I think it should stay on and keep the battery alive for a long time. With another vehicle outdoors I couldn't leave it on overnight but I could see that after 8 hours it was in phase 7 and kept the battery going. The only way to find out what it was in step 7 is to get a manual and compare the voltage reading to the chart. The problem is that the lights…

  • Easy Setup

Love it! *CAN* charge a 100% empty battery!

This is one of the few smart chargers that allows you to bypass the security system and start charging regardless of whether it detects a properly connected battery (press and hold the start button for a few seconds). This means that you can charge a battery whose voltage is below the detection threshold. VERY few "smart" chargers do this. but I'm glad I now have an alternative to my old "dumb" Schumacher charger (I hate using Schumacher because dumb chargers will overcharge and drain your…

Only for charging and maintaining batteries with guaranteed downtime

One important thing to note when using this charger: After it completes the bulk and absorption charge phases and enters the float or "finish" -phase occurs, it will not see or compensate for any load or other causes of voltage sags that your battery might have. In other words, after these initial stages of charging are complete, the battery may be completely discharged, and the supposedly "fully automatic" logic in this charger will not see this, apply additional charging, or otherwise…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
