shrink discs. Be careful.

I really liked them and even ordered another set. Then the rubber disks began to shrink. WTF?!?! Fixed. Still shrinking. diesel and petrol. Useless. Took 8 pods on a trip to Death Valley, bringing extra fuel for trucks and motorcycles. All 8 washers in the caps bulged and then shrank to unusable sizes.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not fashionable

good item. fits. Best Price

Not a bad product and clearly the best price. This "coarse thread" fits my Scepter "205" pitchers and Midwest "8600" pitchers. Has not been used long enough to appreciate seal durability, which seems to be a common problem when replacing caps. I realize...that lid along with the extra 25 cent jug vent cap...and using it with a quality filter funnel is better than expensive and short lived spouts. If only they were black!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Do not caulk and store manhole in garage

I left my generator gas outside because the pipes were venting gas fumes into the garage. The squirrel then gnawed through one of the spouts so I had to push the cans in. I thought it would be great. And they supposedly fit in Briggs-Stratton cans. I put them on, screwed them in, and the garage still stinks. I think I'll buy a thick neoprene and make washers in the caps with my own hands. I will definitely not buy more, I may look for a better alternative if not new cans.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • So far so good

Blitz gas bottle won't close

The cap screws onto the bottle before the rubber seal comes into contact with it. Tried 2 rubber seals and still tight because as soon as pressure is applied to the seal the cap slips over the groove and pops out again. It is impossible to seal the most common plastic red lightning can. The Chinese are trying to copy the product again and can't measure or make anything work. It's a strong caveat (durability) and while it's probably 10 cents to make, $4 for $18 is better than $4 x $9 for each…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Compatibility

I bought these to use with my Ameri-Can 5 gallon plastic gas cans. I have 8 that I keep full during hurricane season and these caps fit perfectly. I find them much easier and quicker to use than the original lids which require a sleeve to seal. I have to buy a few more, I will do soon. I accidentally twisted one of them and some gas spilled in my car on the way home from the gas station, but that was user error, not the cap's fault. I just need to be more careful and double check that they fit…

  • Handy item

Know your thread type.

These gas caps are cool! But you need to know your yarn type before buying because they are quite expensive and you don't want to end up with a bundle that doesn't fit. First off, I want to state that most gas nozzles suck! They are so overburdened with "safety targets" that they are hardly suitable for practical use. So you want to protect a good spout if you find one. I live in Louisiana on Hurricane Alley. I always like to have a few extra gas cans for my generator set when (not when) the…
