Useful for checking correct angles on a table saw

Completely flat on both sides. Useful for checking the correct angles on a table saw. Used to check bearing run out on my 35 year old table saw. Also makes a wicked grinding wheel.

Grinding wheel and calibration star

I bought this to use as a grinder but as a bonus I was able to set up my table saw better. I was able to make sure the blade was at the perfect 90° angle to the table and that things were parallel where they should be.

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good for grinding, not recommended as a master insert.

The plate was not very flat on the back, about 0.007 inch from end to end. good fit. Great as a grinding wheel, but I wouldn't recommend it as a tuner.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are problems

Works much better than expected, but you have to be careful.

Bought to turn my table saw into a circular sander. Have 80 and 120 grit sandpaper. Works much better than expected but care must be taken as 80 grit is very aggressive at blade speed. I've rounded corners on some 3/4" thick walnuts and maple with no problem.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • dim

It turns your table saw into a great little power cutter

This turns your table saw into a great little power cutter with pressure sensitive adhesive. Wood can be sanded down very quickly with fine-grain sandpaper. At high speeds of table saws, 60 grit is too much. 120 is a great compromise - you still get fast stock removal, but the finish (at the same pressure) is perfectly acceptable). It's a little inconvenient as there are small gaps in my saw, but since I don't have room for a dedicated grinder it's a great addition. This makes my table saw much

Okay, it's flat and grinds like a pole dancer

Some say using it on a table saw burns wooden objects. I haven't encountered this problem, but when I use it I want to quickly remove a ton of stuff and have confidence that it gets done! For fine sandpaper, use a hand sander or a low power sander, it is designed for sanding large amounts of material in a hurry. If I turn it over and use it to set up a table saw blade, it works very well. Runout 0.002 front to back, pretty even. I wish it was a little better as my typical runout tolerance on…

  • Not Everything Fits

Looks used, uneven, badly damaged

Got mine today. At first I bought it new, not used. I am extremely disappointed. I chose this brand over others that are cheaper because CMT is usually one of the best in the range. Mine has a sticky substance (no oil) with stains all over it, a few stains on both sides worn in big pits in various places on both sides. He's covered in scratches, and not even all of them. I checked this with my dial indicator after testing it on my perfectly flat granite countertop. It's a totally uneven 1/32"…

  • Dope 🔥
