Small design flaw. The carafe holds up to 12 cups, but the coffee pot tank only holds 8 cups of water. So to make a full glass carafe of coffee, you need to add 4 more cups of water to the tank after the brew cycle to make a full 12 cups. I actually think that a few cups of water will evaporate during the brew cycle, making this problem even worse. Took it to Burning Man and used it for 2 weeks, 4 years in a row.
