I bought the scrubber to hang in the shower as long as it works well and doesn't rust (will update if problems arise). The metal hook wasn't foldable but fixed in the lowered position (like the plastic hooks) but I knew it was like that before I bought it and it's still easy enough to use.

I use them for all sorts of things. I love command lines in general. They stay in place most of the time and won't remove paint or drywall. It is important to be aware of the weight limit of the command strips you are using. If you strain them too much, they will fall down. We bought these to attach a bird net to our asbestos siding. I'm amazed it still works. We can't drill through the siding (asbestos) but we needed a way to pass the blueberries with bird netting. The siding is not smooth. These little guys are great at it. They got stuck easily and have now been stuck for several rainy months. No holes in the asbestos and no birds eating blueberries.
