Essential. Makes it easier to press out old pins and install new pins. The magnet also works well in a vise, could be stronger but works well as long as you hold everything together.

If you are building LS engines and need to upgrade your valve train components. Just buy it. If you have a vise, it simplifies the trunnion upgrade process. No press required. Just a worthy vice.

Extra strong magnet, ideal for pressing tenons into a vise. I used my desktop press but the tenons require minimal effort. The tool is 100% worthwhile even if you only do it once. Just follow the installation procedure for new bearings as they may contain a different shaft for the updated journal sizes.

This tool is awesome! Very easy and simple to use. Watch the Comp Cam video and all the rocker arm pins are replaced in under 30 minutes. If I had to say one bad thing about it, it would be that they should replace the magnet with a stronger one. What's on this tool has an iron core and needs a little help now and then to hold the vise. But otherwise it's great. By the way, there is no video showing someone using this tool with a hammer!

So I bought this tool in December 2020. After the first tenon head with a 1 ton arbor press, the old tenon got stuck in the tool. I took it in a vise and with the help of a hammer I loosened the seesaw. I noticed a small tear on the back of the tool and the whole piece came loose. I used a port freight press to push out the old pivots. It's a terrible metal.
