Repaired Makita compressor.

Thanks to Frogman Mickey and his Makita Mac 700 Air Compressor Review (October 20, 2016) I purchased this air compressor pressure switch from Leefoo. My Makita played up and I finally decided to change the pressure switch. This completely repaired the compressor and turned it into something I can now rely on. I'm not sure why this switch works better than the original, but it works. If you're having trouble with your Makita randomly not starting, this will likely help. Buying is much easier…

Five Stars: Air Tool Parts and Accessories

$3 Fittings at the hardware store and my old SEARS compressor is back in business. It worked for 2 weeks and then started releasing air from the exhaust valve once it reached cut off pressure and flow until it turned on again. Research and adjustment could not solve the problem. I ended up ordering another one from Amazon through a different seller, thinking it was a different brand. It didn't and had the same problem right out of the box. Upon examining the failed valve, I found that if the…

Replaced my Makita 5200 Pressure Switch

This replaces my bad Makita 5200 Pressure Switch. Make sure the replacement has the same number of ports as the old one. You may need to save a few connectors from your old switch in order to fit this one, so don't throw anything away until you buy and install a new one. Mounting on a Makita 5200 large caliber machine is a bit awkward. You must remove the motor mounting screws and unbolt the entire assembly to remove the switch. I had no other choice. Once you've done that, the assembly will be

Great replacement part for California Air Tools Switch

After 2.5 years of use, the switch on my air compressor had a leak that was not easy to fix. This part worked great as a replacement. It has an extra port that you need to plug, so make sure you have that part as well as a right angle or tee and a relief valve to make all the necessary connections. It took some fine tuning to set the correct cut-in pressure. All it takes is a flathead screwdriver to turn a metal set screw in the switch cover (top clockwise, bottom counterclockwise). The factory

Spend a few bucks more and get a good quality part

All I can say is you get what you paid for. I bought this part last December, installed it and verified that it turns on and that it works. I didn't leave it on long enough to fill the compressor so when it came time to use it I noticed it had a terrible leak so I figured it was my brass fittings. After replacing the fittings, it still leaks, and it turns out that it is at the bottom of the entire assembly. Apparently there is a gasket under the metal frame of the box and this frame had a…

Great replacement switch for Makita MAC2000 Air Compressor

My application was to replace the pressure switch on my now obsolete MAC2000 Air Compressor. I was able to complete the repair in about an hour without having to purchase any additional parts. To make enough room to remove the old switch, unscrew the motor starting capacitor (two screws) and remove the two plastic covers protecting the motor (four screws for the top cover and two screws for the front cover). First remove the front cover. Clean and inspect old fittings, wrap fittings with Teflon

Broke out of the box? Processed!

Edit 10/31/18. The original rating is below. After purchase and installation, the relief valve was leaking like crazy. I turned around and bought a Square D thinking my problem was solved. After installing the square D block, the discharger licked it! It turned out that the installation of the first switch occurred simultaneously with the failure of the check valve, which led to a constant leak in the unloader. This product is still inferior to the Square D, but it worked (electrically) as…

Check the orientation of the distributor before ordering!

Lefoo LF10-4H has a four port distributor. 4H designates four openings in the manifold. I bought the LF10-4H to replace the LF10-4H on my Craftsman air compressor. I wanted the connectors to match exactly so I didn't have to modify any of the connectors, air or electrical. When I received the LF10 from Revain, I noticed two differences from my OEM switch. First, the alignment of the collector was shifted by 90 degrees. Second, the air charge valve was straight, not the 90 degree angle of my OEM
