This replaces my bad Makita 5200 Pressure Switch. Make sure the replacement has the same number of ports as the old one. You may need to save a few connectors from your old switch in order to fit this one, so don't throw anything away until you buy and install a new one. After 2.5 years of use, the switch on my air compressor had a leak that was not easy to fix. This part worked great as a replacement. It has an extra port that you need to plug, so make sure you have that part as well as a right angle or tee and a relief valve to make all the necessary connections. My application was to replace the pressure switch on my now obsolete MAC2000 Air Compressor. I was able to complete the repair in about an hour without having to purchase any additional parts. To make enough room to remove the old switch, unscrew the motor starting capacitor (two screws) and remove the two plastic covers protecting the motor (four screws for the top cover and two screws for the front cover).
