Falls off, dangerous for my wound

I have a deep, gaping wound on my back from a lung removal surgery that is being packed twice daily. My skin is being torn up and the silicone bandages we had samples of from the hospital were the most comfortable. I bought these with high hopes. However, we have to reinforce them with other tapes because they are falling off, which is dangerous for my wound (think being open overnight, or falling off while out, increasing my risk for infection). Having to reinforce with other tape defeats the…

Pros
  • N/A
Cons
  • Can limit mobility or range of motion for some users

Loved these in my review

I had a skin cancer removal in a tough spot and had to keep it covered for 4 weeks. These were amazing, my skin didn’t get irritated and they stuck wonderfully.

Pros
  • Just had hip replacement surgery. They worked great.
Cons
  • Can cause skin discoloration or scarring with extended use

Just what the doctor ordered!

When I was in the hospital after surgery, the staff used these for my wound. When I got home, they had worked so well, I ordered more. They adhere until I take them off. They are absorbent and a perfect size. I’m very happy with their quality and have ordered again.

Pros
  • I used this product to protect my Contiuous Glucose Monitor in the shower. It worked perfectly!
Cons
  • Definitely not water proof!

Does not stay on. for my opinion

I ordered these to cover a post radiation wound on the back of my lower leg, they do not stay on! The padding is comfortable and absorbent for drainage but I have to use tape to keep it on. Will not reorder.

Pros
  • Multilayer structure enhances absorbent capacity and locks the wound exudate to reduce the risk of skin maceration.
Cons
  • Can cause skin breakdown or ulcers in certain individuals

Large and stays on if not constantly wet

These were lifesavers when not using the gauge. Helps keep the area totally clean but you may have to change it twice a day depending on the drainage.

Pros
  • No sticking
Cons
  • May not provide enough compression for certain wounds

Don't bother good for me

Bought these to see if they were as good as the Alevyn I usually buy for wound care. They are just over priced bandaids. I do not recommend. They separate before the end of the day.

Pros
  • Kept my leg wound dry and covered
Cons
  • It stuck to my wound. I did not like that.

Disappointed on my review.

They don’t stay stuck around the wound and are not water resistant. Will not be re-ordering I think if the outer sticky part was wider, it would help stay in place.

Pros
  • Happy
Cons
  • May cause discomfort or pain during removal

NOT Waterproof: my feedback

Not waterproof! Wound care had me changing dressings every other day so I got these since they were supposed to be waterproof but they are not! I ended up purchasing another brand that are waterproof and don’t fall apart when I shower.

Pros
  • Bed sores
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain topical wound treatments

Thin / terrible adhesion

Do yourself a favor and go with a better known, name brand dressing instead of these. These are just not worth it. The sticky part is thin. The thinnest I've ever seen. They lift easily and fall off completely, especially if they're placed in an area where there might be a build up of moisture. For the price, there are better products out there. I, personally, am going back to those!

Pros
  • Comfortable. Leaves no marks on your skin
Cons
  • No funciono en mi caso la empeoro el aria y le dio una alergia

Great absorbancy - my new review

Bought these for a surgical wound. They are absorbent and can be taken off prior to a shower and put back on after. I like thT they are so adhesive and I was able to use each dressing for a few days (2) before needing to change.

Pros
  • Bandaging Pads
Cons
  • Can cause secondary infections or complications if not used properly

Great silicone bandages

Great silicone foam dressing bandages. Quality equal to the original brand-Mepilex, that my doctor uses, but a better price. Thanks for carrying them

Pros
  • Loved the product, just costly for so few pads.
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for individuals with compromised immune systems

Adhesive worthless good for me

Bandages by definition should stay in place with sufficient adhesive to do so. Within an hour, these expensive bandages are falling off. Then we have to get out the medical tape and put three strips across the bandage to keep it in place. Maybe we got a bad box, but we would never buy them again.

Pros
  • as advertised
Cons
  • A little different, this bandage the entire bottom is adhesive (even over the adsorbent area.

Didn't stick very well.

Have a large wound that requires a 4x4 pad. Hoped these would be a good option over tape, but it wouldn't stay attached at all. May be an issue with unclean skin. May be useful for other kinds of injuries.

Pros
  • Works great worth the money. Easily comes off without irritation to skin.
Cons
  • It is not sticky enuf to stay on but for a minimum amount of time

Looks the same but it’s not.

They don’t seem to be as absorbent. So far I’ve used 2 of the 10, disappointed both times. I’ll still try to use up the box but may need to change more often. There are a couple other brands avail on Ebay that are better quality and don’t have the poor absorbency issue.

Pros
  • Great
Cons
  • Nice product

Good product: my feedback

Works great as a dressing if it arrives in tact. My only issue is the packaging is smashed by the time it arrives. Would order again otherwise.

Pros
  • the product is sufficient
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other wound dressings

Leaves a rash best in my review

My husband and I both used this product for wounds and we both got a terrible rash. I would love to send it back but we used the product. Of course its made in China. Don't buy this product.it's bad enough that you need it but then to get a rash is an insult.

Pros
  • Just what I needed thank you so muchAdhesión and protection are just right. 😊
Cons
  • May not be suitable for wounds located in hard-to-reach areas

They do seal well - my new review

Got these to help with shearing of a pressure sore. It dose help and they seal well - just wish the padding would of been just a little more thicker. That would of helped even more to cushion the sore while it heals.

Pros
  • These bandages work well for my wound. The pad doesn't stick to my wound and sticky edges hold well.
Cons
  • May be too large or too small for certain wounds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They're the new age bandaid!

I have very thin skin. I get a lot of skin tears. If you take the time to put them on correctly they will last until you take it off. These are not at all like taking tape off of your legs. Although a bit pricey they are well worth it!

Pros
  • Product does what is intended
Cons
  • Can be difficult to apply without proper training or guidance

Poor adhesion good for me

This is not Mepilex! I was hoping for a cheaper version of Mepilex and I got it! It will not stick for long, disappointed! May absorb too much exudate for some wounds, requiring frequent changes!

Pros
  • Use it for my non verbal son
Cons
  • May absorb too much exudate for some wounds, requiring frequent changes

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Won't buy again good for me

These don't stick much at all, you'll go thru them at breakneck speed,as the adhesive just doesn't stick,it's a shame the pad seems nice, but at the price point, look elsewhere

Pros
  • These dressings have worked very well for keeping wound leakage under control!
Cons
  • Not designed for rough terrain
